EAGLE EYE – BI
Interactive Whiteboards Gone are the days of hearing chalk screech as a lecturer (or your boss) draws their conclusions on a board. In the modern world, we draw, annotate, zoom in, and video-call all on interactive whiteboards: touchscreen, stylus-friendly displays that bring collaboration to life in education, business and training.
The UK’s interactive whitebaord market is growing, experiencing a 3.84% increase in searches on Stock in the Channel in the second quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. Market analysts predict that the growth can shoot up to 6.1 % annually before 2030. The fast-evolving features, such as capacitive touch, multi- user interaction, portability and cloud- connectivity, are giving buyers good reason to upgrade to more responsive, smarter boards. Still, not everything’s rosy. The cost upfront (hardware + training + software) is steep, especially for smaller schools or firms. Infrared and resistive membrane tech still dominate because they’re cheaper, even if they’re less snappy. Plus, there’s a gap between what boards can do and how far users are pushed to use all those features. If budgets stay tight or training lags, growth could plateau. n
