Both stories reinforced Gamma’s role as a trusted advisor, rather than just a vendor. But, as always, there’s more to a partnership than meets the eye. CFO Bill Castell and Paul Billingham of Knight Corporate Finance shifted the focus to the unspoken value of partnership. Times of uncertainty test the resilience of any professional partnership, and only long-term collaboration with partners brings sustainable growth. Tough times don’t last; resilient businesses do. Perhaps the day’s best testament to partnership and resilience was with the second keynote speaker, Joe Marler. Since retiring from professional rugby, Joe has yearned to be part of a team environment where everyone pulls together ‘for that common goal, that common purpose.’ Everyone plays their
like any other conference. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect with new people and openly share what’s working and what’s challenging. It’s an arena that pushes Gamma to understand how to better support partners. Sam Conniff urged the crowd to overcome the paradox of knowing what works and pushing boundaries. Frustration comes from inspiration without action. Small but bold actions drive momentum, and that sense of ‘mutiny’ and rule breaking should keep pushing businesses forward.
