Qualcomm Unveils Breakthrough AI and Connectivity Technologies

Qualcomm made significant announcements regarding its latest advancements in on- device AI, intelligent computing, and wireless connectivity products expected to drive digital transformation, stimulate economic growth, and usher in a new era of AI-powered connectivity across various industries. One of the key highlights is the introduction of the Qualcomm AI Hub, featuring a library of over 75 pre-optimized AI models for seamless deployment on devices powered by Snapdragon and Qualcomm platforms. This initiative aims to empower developers by facilitating the integration of AI models into their applications, thereby reducing time-to- market and unlocking the benefits of on- device AI implementations such as immediacy, reliability, privacy, personalization, and cost savings. Another groundbreaking announcement is the Snapdragon X80 5G Modem-RF System, hailed as the world’s most advanced 5G modem-to-antenna platform. The Snapdragon X80 architecture integrates 5G-Advanced capabilities and introduces support for non-terrestrial networks (NTN) satellite communications, marking a significant leap in connectivity options. Furthermore,

a dedicated tensor accelerator enhances AI optimization, resulting in improved throughput, quality of service, coverage, latency, spectrum efficiency, power efficiency,

and mmWave beam management. In the realm of mobile connectivity,

Qualcomm unveiled the FastConnect 7900 mobile connectivity system, the first to deliver AI-optimised performance while integrating Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth, and Ultra Wideband technologies in a single chip. Leveraging AI, FastConnect 7900 adapts to specific use cases and environments, optimising power consumption, network latency, and throughput. The integration of Ultra Wideband technology and other proximity technologies enhances secure device discovery, access, and control. Cristiano Amon, President and CEO of Qualcomm Incorporated, emphasised the importance of hybrid generative AI solutions that combine on-device intelligence with cloud computing to deliver greater personalisation, privacy, reliability, and efficiency. He highlighted the critical role of connectivity in scaling generative AI across cloud, edge, and device environments, enabling next- generation connectivity solutions.

TCL Unveils Groundbreaking Innovations

TCL unveiled a diverse range of cutting-edge devices, reinforcing its commitment to making technology more accessible and enhancing the human experience. Among the highlights are expansions in the “50 Series” smartphones, advancements in NXTPAPER products optimised for user comfort, and innovative smart dongles leveraging the power of 5G technology. The LINKKEY dongle series, including the IK511 and IK512, offer affordable and high-bandwidth connectivity, while the LINKHUB HH132 Pro router delivers ultra-fast Wi-Fi 6 technology for seamless connectivity at home and in small business environments.
