Sustainable Companies in 2024 TIME and data firm Statista have collaborated to measure the world’s top 500 most sustainable companies for 2024. UC Advanced looks at the top European Telecommunications and IT, Tech and Software companies, as ranked by TIME and Statista for 2024. It is evident that all companies on the list are embracing ESG initiatives, and whilst no company has reached the elusive 100 score, every company embracing Sustainability initiatives is to be encouraged.

The companies at the top of the lists have signed on to some of the most respected climate programs, including the 1.5°C target from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and receive high scores from CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project). TIME and Statista held companies to high standards for
their Scope 1 and 2 emissions and energy consumption relative to company size, emissions reductions in 2021 and 2022 (the most recent years fully reported), and proportion of renewable energy used by the company’s operations. Many of the top companies have incorporated sustainability into their business models.
